Erin Jones
Erin Jones is the owner and lead instructor at Inner Focus Pilates Inc.™ She is a strong believer in the close relationship between the mind and body and the importance of keeping both in healthy alignment. Finding a balance between the two can be one of lifes' biggest challenges, but can also bring fulfillment and joy.
Erin discovered pilates after a struggle with her health. After surgery, she began pilates sessions and became passionate about its effect, not only physically, but emotionally. Physically, pilates has enabled Erin to participate in activities she had given up on. Emotionally, it has provided the mental focus and engagement of body awareness that build Inner Focus - STRENGTH, BALANCE and CONFIDENCE. Pilates helps provide balance for Erin's busy life with her husband and four children.
Erin studied the highly respected and contemporary STOTT PILATES® repertoire, covering more than 500 mat and equipment-based exercises, including unique preparatory, essential, intermediate and advanced level workouts. Her study has increased her knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. She has expanded her experience in performing body analysis and understanding the needs of special rehabilitation populations.
Erin's STOTT PILATES® training included over 100 hours of observation, 200 hours of practice teaching, and over 400 hours of physical review. Erin earned full STOTT PILATES® certification in mat reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, and barrels at Elements in Motion, STOTT PILATES® Studio and Certification Center in Chicago, where she also worked as an instructor.
Along with her STOTT PILATES® certification, Erin is an ACSM personal trainer.
Erin recently completed an intensive anatomy workshop - earning 9 hours of hands on cadaveric experience. Remaining engaged in the educational process of understanding human anatomy is of utmost importance to her and a priority in passing this education along to her clients and instructors.
